THE BLUM GROUP , inc. (BGI) was founded in 1973 for the purposes of independent film financing, production, licensing and marketing.

Today, BGI is the exclusive worldwide sales agent for a number of independent film and television producers, home video companies, special interest enterprises, and professional sports franchises. BGI arranges licensing globally for all media including theatrical, television, videogram and ancillary markets. BGI also coordinates marketing campaigns for new products, assists with product finalization for broadcast criteria, and markets its licenses at every major industry tradeshow and convention. Additionally, for many years, BGI has specialized in pay-per-view, pay and basic cable television in the United States, and now services these media markets worldwide.

Dale Eagle , has recently taken over The Blum Group as new Owner and President as of January 2008. Dale has a extensive background in computing and modern technology, which he readily applies to current new media. With years of experience in the distribution business, Dale looks forward to a bright future with BGI.

Suzanne Blum ,Suzanne is experienced in movie development as a story analyst and editor working with many writers and directors. She is also a screenwriter herself and has written 8 screenplays with several having been optioned.

She has been employed by The Blum Group, a family business, in these capacities for many years working closely with her late husband Harry Blum.  He was an independent producer of such films as Skateboard (the first fictional movie about Skateboarding to come out theatrically), Obsession with Genevieve Bujold, John Lithgow, Cliff Robertson ; Bluebird , (the first Russian/ American film co-operation before the fall of the wall); The Magician of Lublin, and several others.

In the 90's The Blum Group segued into a worldwide distribution company acquiring and distributing varied content (drama, horror, sci-fi, documentaries, sports, soft erotic, comedy) for all media internationally.

Suzanne became President of the company in 1996 and is experienced in all the aspects of distribution. She has attended the major trade show markets- MIPCOM, MIPTV, CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, MIFED, AFM as well as many film festivals.
